In a strong admonition, the Presidency has urged Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed to shift his focus from political theatrics to prioritizing governance in his state. This call was made through a statement by Sunday Dare, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, emphasizing that President Bola Tinubu’s administration remains dedicated to national development and the well-being of Nigerians.
“The Bola Tinubu administration is laser-focused on development and improving lives,” Dare noted. He called for collaboration between the federal government and sub-national entities, stressing that political distractions must not derail the government’s commitment to its national mandate. Dare also reminded stakeholders to engage the legislative process constructively regarding the Tax Reform Bills, condemning attempts to politicize the matter.
The statement questioned Governor Mohammed’s track record, challenging him to address poverty and uplift Bauchi’s citizens. Dare remarked, “Bala Mohammed should channel his energy toward solving the pressing issues in Bauchi rather than engaging in irresponsible politics.” The Presidency reaffirmed its commitment to transformative reforms, urging leaders at all levels to embrace accountability and service over political ambition.
