Former NLC President Takai Shamang Kidnapped

Incident Report: Takai Shamang, former President of the Nigeria Labour Congress and National Union of Electricity Employees, has been kidnapped from his home in Biniki, Kaura, Kaduna State.

Family Confirmation: His daughter, Grace Abbin, confirmed the abduction, stating that the 78-year-old was taken around 8:00 pm on Friday. The authorities are investigating and efforts are underway to secure his release.

Public Appeal: The community and family are appealing for information that could assist in his safe return. Shamang, known for his philanthropic work with the GAWON Foundation, is a respected figure, and his abduction has shocked the community. The Kaduna State Police Command has yet to issue an official statement.
