Amidst strong resistance from party chapters in Kogi, Abia, and Cross River states, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially inaugurated six additional officers into its National Working Committee. Led by National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the one-hour ceremony took place at the party’s national headquarters on Friday at 8.45 pm.
This move comes despite protests from key figures including Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, former Senator from Cross River South District, and Abia APC. These politicians criticized the election of these officers, branding it as an imposition rather than a reflection of the nominees they had put forth to the party.
