Gombe Police Report 67 Persons Missing in Nine Months

The Gombe State Police command has reported that 67 persons have been declared missing in the state between January and September 2023. The cases were reported across the 11 Local Government Areas of Gombe State.

According to the Public Relations Officer of the Police command, ASP Mahid Abubakar, efforts are being made to locate and recover the missing individuals. Some of the missing persons have been found by their family members.

Abubakar also emphasized that the Gombe State Police command, under the leadership of Commissioner Oqua Etim, is committed to ensuring the safety and security of the state’s residents. He reassured the public that there is no need to be alarmed, as Gombe is safe.

The reasons for these cases of missing persons were not specified in the report, and it is unclear whether they are related to criminal activities or other factors.
