“Governor Mbah Takes Strong Stance Against Sit-at-Home Enforcers”

Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, confidently stated that the state is successfully countering the enforcement of sit-at-home orders by individuals he described as murderers and enemies of Igbo land. He emphasized that Enugu cannot achieve its potential as a premier destination for investment, living, and tourism, with its economy growing from $4.4 billion to $30 billion, if it continues to take orders from anonymous outsiders. Governor Mbah stressed the importance of unity in combating scaremongering and fake news spread by sit-at-home promoters who have lost their ability to cause harm due to heightened security measures. During a media chat, the governor urged journalists to exercise professionalism by fact-checking information before disseminating it to the public. He assured that the government has effectively tackled the sit-at-home enforcers and instigators, rendering them powerless, and urged the citizens not to be intimidated by their tactics.

Governor Mbah also cautioned against associating the criminal activities of certain individuals with the leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, who has expressed his disapproval of the sit-at-home enforcement and its consequences. The governor revealed that the state is considering legal action against the instigators and enforcers of violence and illegal sit-at-home orders, intending to bring them before the International Criminal Court for their crimes against humanity. He emphasized that in the 21st century, no one should be allowed to live comfortably in one area while causing harm and suffering in others.

Furthermore, the governor highlighted the deployment of technology to enhance residents’ safety, making it difficult for criminals to find hiding places within the state. Members of the media praised the government’s efforts in addressing insecurity and offered suggestions to achieve lasting peace and security. They expressed their commitment to collaborating with and supporting the government in facilitating the return to normalcy through their reporting.
