Sule Gwamnati, a middle-aged man, was ambushed and slain by gunmen on Friday in Plateau State‘s Bokkos Local Government Area.
According to a source, the attackers—suspected to be kidnappers—shot Gwamnati in the Mai Katato neighborhood, where his family’s home was located, and then kidnapped his wife, Blessing, and took her somewhere unknown.
He clarified that Gwamnati passed away a few hours after being taken to a hospital in Jos.
On Friday, Kefas Mallai, the Bokkos Community Peace Observers Chairman, verified the assault on Gwamnati’s home.
“One Sule Gwamnati (Native) was shot twice in the early hours of Friday by some criminals who kidnapped his wife, Blessing Sule,” he clarified. After receiving treatment, the victim subsequently passed away at JUTH.
The chairman claims that once the event was reported to Bokkos security personnel, they were given the assurance that the situation was still being looked into.
Alabo Alfred, a police spokesperson, stated that the incidence was known to the Command.
