Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, has stated that there is no evidence linking Nigerian singer Naira Marley and his associate, Sam Larry, to the tragic death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, known as Mohbad.
Commissioner Owohunwa made this announcement during a press conference on Friday.
According to the Commissioner of Police, thorough investigations have determined that both Naira Marley and Sam Larry were not present in Nigeria at the time of Mohbad’s unfortunate demise.
However, the Commissioner did reveal another significant detail in his statement. It appears that Sam Larry, Naira Marley’s friend, did engage in physical altercations with Mohbad before the singer’s death.
Owohunwa explained that Sam Larry confessed to physically confronting Mohbad over a dispute involving a significant sum of N2 million. Mohbad had allegedly received this amount for his mother’s burial expenses but failed to fulfill his performance commitment during the event.
