Police Identify Auxiliary Nurse as Prime Suspect in Mohbad’s Death

According to The Cable News report, the Lagos State Police Force has identified the auxiliary nurse who administered an injection to Mohbad as the primary suspect in the singer’s death.

This information was revealed by Idowu Owohunwa, the Lagos State Police Commissioner, during a press briefing on Friday afternoon.

The investigation into the death of Mohbad, which occurred on September 12, 2023, after he received an injection from an unidentified nurse, has raised concerns about the circumstances surrounding his demise.

In response to public outrage and calls for a comprehensive investigation, the police established a 19-member committee to conduct a discreet inquiry. This investigation covers various aspects, including exhumation, autopsy, scene inspection, medical reports, records of suspects, and witness statements.

The Lagos State Police Command had already detained the nurse who provided treatment to Mohbad, who was rumored to have sustained injuries, leading him to seek nursing services at home.

Mohbad’s father, James Aloba, expressed suspicions regarding the auxiliary nurse who administered the injection, suggesting that it may have played a role in his son’s deteriorating health.

Additionally, the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANNM), Lagos State Council, has called for a thorough investigation into Mohbad’s death and clarified that the individual who administered the injection was not a registered nurse.
