On August 27, the anti-kidnapping and cybercrime squad reportedly detained the suspect in Benin City following a distress call from one Ogechi Nwokolo.
The victim, Ogechi Nwokolo, reportedly told police that her ex-boyfriend, Osayande Efosa, sent nude images of her to a man who was allegedly getting ready to marry her, according to state police commissioner Muhammed Dankwara.
He said that the woman alleged the suspect also threatened to murder her if she told anyone or called the police.
The suspect had confessed, according to him, and would shortly face charges in court.
The suspect informed reporters that he had been seeing the woman for more than a year and had made a marriage proposal to her, but she had chosen to wed another man instead.
That shows she has been having extramarital affairs, but I didn’t send the picture to extort money from her, he claimed.
