Kidnappers request 30M to release sisters in Abuja

Kidnappers are seeking a ransom of N30 million before releasing two teenage girls kidnapped in the Guita community, Chikakore, Kubwa, Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The bandits, numbering six, struck on Sunday about 11:25 p.m. and abducted the girls, who were claimed to be 16 and 14.

The Chikakore community had only eight days previously protested at the FCT minister’s office, Nyesom Wike, about the state of the primary route connecting their community, which they claimed as one of the causes of serial kidnappings.

According to one source, the two girls, ages 14 and 16, were stolen from their house on Sunday.

He went on to say, “I learnt that the kidnappers have demanded N30million ransom from the girls’ family.”

Josephine Adeh, spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, could not be reached for comment on the event.
