The leadership of the Labour Party (LP) has responded to a recent call from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, urging him to leave their candidate, Peter Obi, out of his ongoing feud with President Bola Tinubu. The LP has requested that Atiku allow Peter Obi to concentrate on his legal case to reclaim his ‘stolen mandate’ at the Supreme Court.
In a statement released in Abuja by the National Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party, Obiora Ifoh, the party clarified its position. The LP expressed appreciation for any interest that supports their quest for a nation where true justice prevails.
The statement emphasized that Peter Obi is presently focused on his legal battle at the Supreme Court to reclaim what he believes to be his stolen mandate. The LP candidate has been a vocal advocate for justice and transparency in Nigerian politics. He has consistently emphasized the importance of leaders setting a good example and living a life worthy of emulation.
The LP welcomed any interest willing to join them in their pursuit of a nation where justice prevails and integrity and honor are the guiding principles of leadership. The statement affirmed the LP’s commitment to achieving this vision for Nigeria.
