In an exclusive interview with Findwhosabi, the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, revealed that the state government, led by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, is set to focus on completing ongoing projects across the state in the new year. Omotoso highlighted the utilization of the governor’s ambitious N2.2tn budget for judicious infrastructure development, with a particular emphasis on hospitals and the upcoming Lekki airport.
Among the notable projects slated for completion is the Mercy Seat Hospital, touted to be the largest pediatric hospital in Africa upon its completion. The hospital, designed to address critical healthcare needs, particularly for children, is part of the administration’s commitment to enhancing healthcare infrastructure in the state.

Additionally, the Mental Health Centre in Ketu Ejinrin, a 500-bed hospital dedicated to mental health services and rehabilitation, will be finalized. Omotoso emphasized the significance of addressing mental health issues, acknowledging the often-overlooked aspect of healthcare.
The Ojo General Hospital, a groundbreaking project described as the first in decades, will also see completion. This development is aligned with the administration’s goal to enhance healthcare accessibility for residents.
Furthermore, the commissioner highlighted the progress of the new airport being constructed in the Lekki area, emphasizing its contribution to the state’s infrastructural growth. Omotoso expressed confidence in the multitude of ambitious projects that are expected to transform Lagos into a mega city.
