One guy has been detained by the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly stealing 47 sacks of rice from his employer in the state’s Ijebu region.
This information was included in a statement that the command’s public relations officer, Omolola Odutola, made accessible to newsmen on Saturday.
Damilola Bada, the accused party, is alleged to have stolen N2,500,000.00 worth of rice bags from Chicken & Co.
Oluremi Olabode, the owner of the business, allegedly reported the theft of her items to the Ogun State police’s Igbeba division, which resulted in the 25-year-old Bada’s arrest.
“On the 13th of October 2023, one Oluremi Olabode, “F” the owner of Chicken & Co Company, reported a case of stealing, involving one of her storekeepers named Damilola Bada, 25yrs “m”,” stated the statement.Damilola was accused by the woman of plotting to steal 47 bags of rice worth $2,500,000 Naira by working with other staff.
The complainant, Oluremi Olabode, discovered the fraud following a store audit. Damilola Bada was consequently detained by Divisional Police Officer Igbeba, Division, and questioned. Damilola was questioned about the missing sacks of rice that were under his care, but he was unable to give a convincing response.
She nevertheless asked the general people to exercise caution and report any unusual activity in their neighborhood to the closest police station.
