Expressing his sentiments on the nominations of fellow Nigerian artists Davido, Burna Boy, Asake & Olamide, and Ayra Starr at the Grammy Awards, Fireboy stated, “It’s surreal. This is what we have been working for. It feels good to be recognized by institutions like this because it only emphasizes how hard we have worked and how far we have come.”
When asked about Afrobeats artists he’s been listening to, Fireboy mentioned that he has been enjoying the sounds of street artists, whose music is contributing a refreshing touch to the musical landscape.
Regarding his highly anticipated upcoming album, Fireboy shared that he is in the final stages of putting finishing touches on the project in Los Angeles, with plans to release it later in 2024.
