Jonas Izuegbu, a Nollywood movie producer, was kidnapped in Asaba, the capital of Delta State, and shot in the leg. The incident was revealed by Nollywood actress Lizzy Gold through her Instagram page on Friday. Lizzy expressed concerns about the deteriorating security situation in Asaba, highlighting that Izuegbu was released on Thursday and is currently receiving medical treatment. The kidnappers also took his phones and car, prompting a plea for information on the stolen vehicle.
Lizzy Gold emphasized the urgent need for the Delta State government to enhance security measures in Asaba due to the alarming increase in kidnapping incidents. She urged the authorities, including Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, to address the escalating threat to residents’ safety.
In a related incident, reality TV star Kiddwaya disclosed that he was robbed at his villa in Ibiza, Spain, losing 70,000 Euros and a Birkin bag. This marks the second robbery he has experienced in Ibiza, with the first occurring in 2022. Kiddwaya shared his ordeal on Instagram, warning fellow Nigerians traveling to Europe, particularly those staying in villas, to remain vigilant and take extra precautions against targeted thefts.
