NYSC secures release of 8 kidnapped corps members in Zamfara

The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC announced that, with the help of the armed forces, it was able to secure the release of kidnapped corps members.

According to reporters, last year’s prospective corps members were kidnapped in Zamfara State while on route to the NYSC Orientation Camp in Sokoto State.
With this most recent rescue, five NYSC soldiers have been liberated altogether.
The plan also stated that more work is being done to make sure the three captive animals—two males and one female—are released as soon as possible.

The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General YD Ahmed, praised the efforts of security agents that led to the release of the PCMs, according to a statement signed by Eddy Megwa, the Director of Press at the NYSC. The statement also stated that the Scheme will never abdicate its duty to ensure the welfare of Corps members at all times.
