Ododo Starts Food Palliative Distribution in Kogi

Governor Ahmed Ododo of Kogi State in North Central Nigeria has announced the commencement of the distribution of the first quarter of food palliatives in the state. The governor made this announcement while responding to preliminary reports from officials overseeing the distribution.

Governor Ododo emphasized that the distribution of food palliatives is part of his administration’s agenda, and approximately 20 consignments of grains have been sent to 10 local government areas (LGAs) for distribution. The food is intended for the indigenes of the state, and the governor expressed his commitment to the well-being of the people.

He commended the conduct of state officials handling the distribution, noting that there have been no reports of disruptions. Governor Ododo urged local government caretaker chairmen and their committees to emulate the conduct of state officials as the materials are moved to the ward level.

Governor Ododo encouraged residents to maintain patience and orderliness throughout the distribution exercise. He emphasized the importance of following procedures and ensuring equitable distribution across the 21 LGAs. The governor also urged residents to report any violations in the distribution process to the state ministry of humanitarian affairs and poverty alleviation for immediate action.
