Pastor Isaac Oyedepo Opens Up About Overcoming Pornography Struggle

Pastor Isaac Oyedepo, son of Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel), recently shared a personal struggle with pornography during a podcast appearance on “Confession Box.”

A Journey Through Challenges

Pastor Oyedepo revealed that he encountered pornography while on a trip to a European country. He recounted, “We travelled to one country, and I was meant to be in the room alone; I switched on the TV, and that’s it.”

Finding Strength in Faith

Despite the initial challenge, Pastor Oyedepo credits his faith and divine intervention for helping him overcome the addiction. He emphasized the importance of sharing his experience to aid others facing similar struggles. “God brought me out of it very quickly. A lot of people still struggle with it, and if someone had walked up to me and told me how to come out, I would have come out quickly,” he shared.

Breaking the Silence

Pastor Oyedepo stressed the need for open conversations about such issues within the church community. “People feel there are things we shouldn’t talk about, but today there are some pastors and church members still struggling with it,” he noted. He highlighted that spiritual anointment does not necessarily equate to personal perfection, acknowledging his own moments of vulnerability despite witnessing signs and wonders.

A Message of Hope

In a heartfelt confession, he said, “For the sake of someone who is genuine in the congregation, God can bypass you to meet the person; this is my confession.” Pastor Oyedepo’s candid disclosure aims to inspire and provide hope for individuals battling similar issues, reinforcing that grace and mercy are available to everyone.

This brave admission by Pastor Oyedepo serves as a reminder of the human challenges faced by spiritual leaders and the power of faith in overcoming personal battles.
