A former National Legal Adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), John Mark, has stated that the party currently has no candidate capable of defeating President Bola Tinubu in a national election. Mark expressed concerns that the PDP lacks the ability to win, citing the influence of individuals who manipulate the party for their interests.
Mark specifically mentioned that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar would struggle to defeat Tinubu without a strong and united party. He also criticized the current leadership of the PDP for failing to maintain discipline among its members, allowing individuals to act against the party’s interests.
Regarding the situation with Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mark argued that the former governor of Rivers State should be disciplined for his actions. He compared the current leadership to past leaders who would have expelled such members swiftly for undermining the party.
