Sokoto Ex-Governor Calls for Urgent Action on Security

The immediate past Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, has emphasized the urgent need to address Nigeria’s security situation following the killing of the Emir of Gobir, Isa Bawa. Tambuwal described the act as barbaric and a reminder of the country’s ongoing struggles with insecurity. He urged security agencies to intensify efforts to bring those responsible to justice.

In his condolence message, Tambuwal expressed deep sorrow over the loss of the Emir, who was the District Head of Gatawa in Sabon Birni Local Government. He condemned the killing and called on the authorities to take swift action against those who threaten peace and stability in the nation.

Tambuwal extended his condolences to the family of the late Emir, the Sultanate Council of Sokoto, and the people of Gatawa and Sabon Birni. He prayed for the soul of the Emir to rest in peace and hoped his legacy of service would continue to inspire others.
