Peter Obi Condemns Killing of Soldiers in Abia State

Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has condemned the killing of five soldiers in Abia State by IPOB terrorists during a sit-at-home on Thursday. Vehicles and tricycles were also set ablaze during the violence.

In a statement on his X handle, Obi expressed his sorrow over the incident and called for a thorough investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice. He emphasized that the failure to protect citizens and security personnel is a clear deficiency of the Nigerian state.

Obi extended his condolences to the families of the fallen soldiers, the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, and the people of Abia State. He urged for swift and decisive action against the escalating insecurity and violence in the country, stressing the need for accountability and justice to honor the sacrifices of the nation’s security forces.
