Police Advise Nigerians to Disregard Viral Video on Palliative Diversion.

The police in Katsina State have issued a statement urging Nigerians to disregard a video circulating on social media that alleges the diversion of palliatives by police officers. The statement was released by the Police Public Relations Officer in Katsina, ASP Aliyu Abubakar-Sadiq.

According to the police, the video is not only misleading but is also an attempt to tarnish the good reputation of the police force. After conducting a thorough investigation, the police revealed that the bags of rice seen in the video inside a police vehicle were actually intercepted and recovered from unscrupulous individuals.

The unscrupulous entities had fraudulently obtained more palliatives than they were entitled to, and the police took action to return these excess items to the distribution venue. The video, therefore, misrepresents the facts and seeks to exploit the positive efforts of the police officers who were deployed to provide support, security coverage, and ensure the smooth operation of the event.

In essence, the police in Katsina State are refuting the allegations made in the video and affirming their commitment to maintaining law and order while upholding their integrity in the distribution of palliatives. They have urged the public to ignore the misleading video and trust in their efforts to serve and protect the community.
