Men from the FCT Police Command detained Nnamdi Agu for reportedly faking his own kidnapping to mislead his family.
According to their spokesman, SP Adeh Josephine, the suspect, who lived at River Park Estate, Lugbe, on Airport Road in Abuja, attempted to scam his brother, who also lived there.
She explained that the arrest came after rumors circulated on Saturday that a man had been abducted in River Park Estate and that police were called to the scene and discovered that the kidnapping was a fraud.
