The Kogi State Police Commissioner, Miller Dantawaye, has asked suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan to cancel her planned Sallah rally in the state.
On Tuesday, the police released a statement saying the state government had banned all political gatherings. Although Akpoti-Uduaghan insisted that her visit was just to celebrate Eid with her people, the force said they had received information that troublemakers might use the event to create disturbances.
In light of these security concerns, the force urged the senator to call off the rally to avoid any unrest. They warned that anyone who disrupts the peace will face the full force of the law, emphasizing that the safety of the state is their top priority.
