Police Threatens: ‘No gree for anybody’

The Nigerian Police Force has expressed strong disapproval of the popular slang “No Go Gree for Anybody,” warning that it could take action against those using the phrase. The slang has gained widespread popularity and is seen by many as a way of staying true to one’s beliefs and not easily succumbing to influence.

However, the police spokesperson, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, stated during a press briefing that intelligence reports suggest the slogan has the potential to incite a revolution within the country. Adejobi emphasized that while it may seem like a normal expression, it is considered a very dangerous slogan in the security community that could trigger a crisis.

The slogan “No Go Gree for Anybody” has been widely used in memes, posts on social media, and even inscribed on clothes and other items. The police’s reaction underscores concerns about the potential impact of certain expressions on public order and security in the country.

One meme features a tricycle being overtaken by a large vehicle, symbolising disregard for the right of way.

The slang already has a logo and has been inscribed on clothes and other items.
