“Soludo and Abaribe Pledge to Oust Uzodimma in Imo Gov Poll”

Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, and Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe from Abia South senatorial district, have jointly pledged to remove Governor Hope Uzodimma of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from office in Imo State. They expressed their commitment to replacing him with the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the upcoming November 11 governorship election.

Their declarations were made during the launch of the APGA gubernatorial campaign for Tony Ejiogu in Owerri. Soludo’s deputy, Onyekachukwu Ibezim, represented him at the event and emphasized their determination to restore the state to APGA.

Soludo’s deputy stated, “We are campaigning in Imo because we have been winning in Imo. So there is a need for us to come together and protect our votes. We must go back and take back our land… We will do it in Imo State as we did in Anambra. You saw what happened in Abia State.”

Senator Abaribe added his voice to the cause, saying, “We chased away the government of Abia, and we will chase away Governor Hope Uzodimma. It is not only about voting; after voting, follow your vote, count it, and protect it.”

The National Chairman of APGA, Sylvester Okenwa, reminded the audience that APGA has historically had success in Imo State, highlighting the need to both vote and safeguard their votes.

Imo state governorship candidate Tony Ejiogu detailed his plans for the state, emphasizing the importance of security, especially in the face of recent violence and kidnappings. He also expressed a commitment to reviving the state’s agricultural potential to combat food insecurity.

The joint resolve of these prominent figures underscores the competitive nature of the upcoming Imo State election and the importance of voter participation and vigilance in ensuring a fair and secure process.
