Adamu AbdulGaniyu, a 21-year-old student who lives in Ita Kudima, Ajijola Anabi Compound, Ilorin, Kwara State, has been placed under remand following allegations that he molested a three-year-old girl sexually.
Maryam Zakariyau, the girl’s mother, reported the incident to the Oja Oba Police Division.
Standing with her mother in front of their home when the suspect passed by, the kid broke her silence on the subject, according to the First Information Report (FIR).
“Maryam told her mother that the suspect (Abdulganiyu) took her into his room, removed her pants, laid her on the mat, and slept on top of her while she was in his house to receive Arabic lessons,” according to a portion of the FIR.
“Although a medical investigation conducted on the victim revealed that her hymen is still intact,” the allegation continued.
The suspect’s remand was imposed by Magistrate Ibrahim Dasuki, who also postponed the case to November 28, 2023.
