Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has dismissed the possibility of an Igbo presidency in 2027, emphasizing that President Bola Tinubu should be allowed to complete his eight-year tenure. While acknowledging the need for an Igbo leader in the future, the former Abia State Governor insisted that achieving this goal requires strategic alliances beyond the Southeast.
Speaking on Channels Television, Kalu stressed that no single region can produce a president alone, citing Tinubu’s victory as a product of nationwide support. He reaffirmed that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has only one candidate for 2027—Tinubu—highlighting ongoing economic reforms as a reason to sustain the administration.
