The Ebonyi state police command has confirmed the killing of a councilor, Stanley Nwaeze and a youth leader, Arinze Ugochukwu by unidentified gunmen at Isu in Onicha Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
The incident was confirmed by the command’s spokesman, DSP Joshua Ukandu on Tuesday.
He stated that the councillor, Nwaeze represented Enuagu ward, while Ugochukwu was the local government coordinator of the National Youth Council of Nigeria and a native of Amagu Mgbom village in Isu community. He went further to condemn the act and promised that the force would do everything to apprehend the culprits.
