Asue Ighodalo, a businessman, has been proclaimed the victor of the Peoples Democratic Party’s governorship primary, which was held on Thursday in Benin City, Edo State.
In the election, Ighodalo prevailed over roughly nine other contenders, including the state’s deputy governor.
In the state’s September 21 governorship election, he received a total of 577 votes to represent the APC.
He was proclaimed the victor of the exercise by Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State and the Chairman of the Edo PDP Primary Electoral Committee.
