Hajiya Hajara Yakubu Wanka, the Deputy National Women Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has made a significant move by resigning from her position. She has chosen to serve as a commissioner in Bauchi State, amplifying her commitment to public service.
Wanka’s official resignation letter, addressed to the Acting National Chairman of the PDP, Ambassador Iliya Damagun, confirms her decision. She expresses gratitude to the PDP leadership for granting her the privilege to serve as Deputy National Women Leader and Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for offering her the commissioner role.
Having garnered invaluable experience as Deputy National Women Leader, Wanka believes this background will greatly enhance her performance in her new capacity as a commissioner in Bauchi State.
Her appointment comes after being among the 24 commissioner-nominees chosen by Governor Mohammed and subsequently confirmed by the State House of Assembly.
The PDP’s National Working Committee has warmly accepted and congratulated Wanka on her new role. In a press statement released by the National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, her appointment is celebrated as a testament to her selflessness, competence, and dedication to the PDP’s growth and the nation’s development.
