Speaker of the HOR Advocates Increased Health Sector Investment to Curb Medical Tourism

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, don talk say make dem put more money into Nigeria health sector, talk say e go fit stop people from travelling abroad for medical treatment, plus e go fit bring in foreign exchange and save naira. Im talk dis one when im receive delegation from First Surat Group of Companies, a Turkish conglomerate for Abuja on Friday.

The delegation wey come from the Turkish company include di Group Managing Director, Yasar Ovenc; Chief Medical Director, Nizamiye Hospital, Prof. Ibrahim Yanmis; Executive Director, Nizamiye Hospital, Servet Gulerman; Managing Director, Nigerian-Turkish International Schools, Feyzullah Bilgin; President, Ufuk Dialog, Emrah Ilgen, and di Public Relations Officer, Nizamiye Hospital, Muhammad Abubakar.

Di Speaker talk say, “Plenty Nigerians dey go abroad for medical treatment. If we fit get or do wetin dem dey do for developed countries for our own country, Nigeria go fit save plenty foreign exchange, and e go fit help us save our naira.”

Abbas, wey represent Zaria Federal Constituency, Kaduna State, yan say National Assembly, especially House, go dey open for ideas on how dem go fit work together wey go benefit both Nigeria and Turkey. Im also talk say im go like make di conglomerate work with di new Committee on Corporate Social Responsibility of the House.

“It dey show say di relationship between Nigeria and Turkey dey useful to both sides, and I hope say other countries go look una example and do better for Nigeria,” Abbas talk.

Before di meeting end, di Managing Director of di Turkish conglomerate congratulate the Speaker for im position as di fourth citizen of Nigeria.
